Soft Rules — Volume 32
Soft Rules for the harvest.
Harvest season brings abundance: ripe apples, warm bread, knobby squash, and the quiet work of gathering. It also asks us to hold another side of the season: fields now bare, light that fades earlier each day. Notice both.
This week’s Soft Rules:
🍂 If the apples are ripe, pick some.
🍂 If the bread is warm, break it.
🍂 If the pot is full, stir slowly.
🍂 If the fields are bare, notice the stubble.
🍂 If the herbs dry, store them.
🍂 If the squash is knobby, keep it.
🍂 If the air smells of earth, breathe it in.
What does harvest season bring you?
